About Us

Introduction

Job for GenX portal is primarily a digital platform designed on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap & jQuery in front-end and Laravel & PHP technology at back end with DB on MySQL. It is developed and maintained by Board of Practical Training (Eastern Region) with an objective of integrating three (03) important activities of BOATs/BOPT viz. Apprenticeship-cum-Job Fair, Job Post and Panel Preparation. This platform enables the Regional Boards to mobilize final year graduate & diploma pursuing students through inviting them to register/enroll on the portal. The portal eventually aims to minimise the time loss between the students declared qualified and the time they receive call from industry/establishments to join as an apprentice. For BOATs/BOPT catching final year degree/diploma pursuing students as an early bird is expected to add new dimension in increasing the current demand of apprenticeship by manyfold.

Vision

•  To develop a pool of freshly qualified graduates and diploma holder students requiring much needed support of NATS so that industry/establishments can pick & choose from a range of students passed out in diversified disciplines so as to hire them as an apprentice.

•  To reduce the cost of hiring of apprentices for establishments.

•  To minimize time loss between a student declared pass and they receive opportunities for apprenticeship.

Mission

•  To empower the student & establishment fraternity to connect with each other through Job for GenX in getting the best possible staffing solution for establishments and the first dream job for the students.

The Job for GenX portal is designed to serve three stakeholders—Students, Establishments, and four Boards — namely Board of Practical Training (Eastern Region) at Kolkata, Board of Apprenticeship Training (Northern Region) at Kanpur, Board of Apprenticeship Training (Western Region), Mumbai and Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region) at Chennai, by providing a streamlined platform for job and apprenticeship opportunities. The portal features three distinct job-related services to cater to the diverse needs of the stakeholders: Job Fair, Job Post, and Panel Creation.

Job for GenX: Features and Services

1. Job Fair

In the Job Fair section, both students and establishments register themselves on the portal. Students have the opportunity to browse through registered companies and apply to those that match their career aspirations. This facilitates a direct connection between job seekers and employers, making the recruitment process efficient and transparent.

2. Job Post

Establishments can create job posts on Job for GenX based on their current requirements. These posts will include details such as job description, required qualifications, and experience levels. Students registered on the portal can then apply to these job posts, making it a structured, application-driven recruitment process. This feature allows for easy job search and application, ensuring that students are matched with roles that suit their qualifications and choice.

3. Panel Creation

This unique feature allows establishments to create a panel according to their specific hiring criteria. Based on these requirements, the portal will display the names of registered students whose profiles closely match with the criteria set by the company. This automatic matching system helps streamline recruitment by identifying the most suitable candidates, reducing the time and effort required in the selection process.

Eligibility for Students

All Graduate & Diploma (Technical and Non-technical) students already completed their courses and declared passed (in last 5 years) or final year students pursuing degree and diploma courses (Technical and Non-technical) from any recognized University/HEIs.
